AMELIA'S EASTER BASKET PICKS
With only a few days left before Easter, I wanted to share what's in Amelia's basket! If you don't have your kiddo's basket finished, don't fret. Almost everything I'm sharing today is from Target or Amazon and if it's from elsewhere I'm sharing Target/Amazon alternatives. Can you say two-day shipping for the win?!
Easter is about Jesus, not about receiving gifts so don't feel like your basket has to be expensive to put together. When I started thinking about what I wanted to put in Amelia's basket, I thought about what she was going to need in the next few months after Easter. I tried killing two birds with one stone ultimately saving money and not creating a basket of junk.
1 // PETITE PALM SHOPPER
Let's talk baskets. I wanted to pick a basket that could be used for more than just an Easter basket that is used once a year. I've also been trying to go more sustainable and fair trade. I LOVE The Little Market and would buy every single thing if I could. I picked up this cute little basket from there and plan to use it a lot when Amelia is a little older and we go to the farmers market. I purchased the last one (sorry not sorry haha), but there are some cute market basket options on Amazon!
2 // ART CARDS FOR BABY
Guuuuyysss....these art cards are everything! The illustrations are darling and the black/white contrast is great for babies eye development. I plan to start teaching her animals soon and these will be my little sidekicks. I'm also going to get little realistic matching figurines so she has something tactile to go with her flashcards. Wee Gallery has other adorable cards options too (the safari set was just my fav).
3 // MUNCHKIN MIRACLE 360° 7OZ TRAINER CUP
This was a practical basket pick. Amelia has officially boycotted bottles. She just refuses to drink out of them. One day she just woke up and said nope not going to happen...lucky me, right? She is currently teething and I'm scared she's going to start biting and it will end our breastfeeding journey. So this magic cup is something I'm going to start implementing to make sure she stays hydrated if she ends up being a biter. I'll keep y' all updated on whether this cup works for that purpose!
4 // JELLYCAT PLUSH BUNNY
I feel like a stuffed bunny is the classic Easter basket filler. I mean who doesn't love their stuffed animals. Jellycat's are my fav when it comes to stuffed animals. They are so well made and most have a matching book you can purchase separately. Pro tip: picking a slightly larger stuffed animal fills the basket more so you can purchase less (and save money) without the basket looking to bare.
5 // CARROT TEETHER
I found this pack of plush carrots in the Target dollar spot. Check out your local Target to see if they have them if not, this carrot teether is perfect. In reality, Amelia is teething like crazy and this probably would have been the better option haha.
6 // P IS FOR PETER BOARD BOOK
Amelia LOVES reading and I adore it. We go through all of her books pretty quickly so I wanted to add a few more to her collection. This book is seriously the cutest! The illustrations are beautiful and the perfect start to introducing the alphabet.
7 // GUESS HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU BOARD BOOK
This adorable book is definitely a conversation I can see the two of us having in the future. Watch out for the ending, it made me tear up a bit. Maybe it's just me? I'm kind of a sap.
8 // MANHATTAN TOY SKWISH RATTLE
I have recently been obsessed with Amelia's development. Like it's a real obsession. I am always reading about baby milestones, different styles of learning, and the best natural (non-plastic) toys on the market. This rattle is highly recommended everywhere! So naturally, I had to get my hands on it for my girl. She is going to love it!
9 // RUFFLE SWIM TWO-PIECE
Now it's time to fill the basket with fun goodies! We have a swimming pool and live by the lake which means I want to get her started in the water early. And I know this summer it will be a frequent outdoor activity for us. This little two-piece is so darling and covers her a little more than the traditionally baby bikini. Bonus, it's currently 40% off right now and you can always pick up in-store to have it in time for Easter.
EASTER BASKET TAG
This cute personalized accessory was a must! I feel like it just adds the perfect touch to Amelia's basket. I ordered through Poppy Jack's Etsy shop. This tag is sold out, but you can easily find similar options on Etsy or get a little crafty and make one for your babe.
